Identity Theft
Thursday February 19, 2004
7:00 to 9:00 pm
Lose your wallet, your computer, your credit card statements? You could easily become a victim of Identity Theft. It’s the fastest growing form of fraud today. The ubiquitous use of computers and the Internet means taking information to assume fraudalent identities is easier than ever.
The foundation of the demo will be using computer based slideshow with voice narration prepared by a former US police officer, investigator and educator.
Jason Wallwork will add the relevant information for Canada at points during the demonstration. After the presentation you will have a great understanding of the techniques that identity thiefs use to steal people’s lives leading many to years of hassles with bureaucrats and possibly even financial ruin.
